Job description

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and cloud services industry, is seeking a Software Design Engineer 5 to join their team. As a Software Design Engineer 5, you will be part of the engineering department supporting innovative hardware and software development initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization., + Design, develop, and implement advanced hardware and software solutions for security-related projects within Windows and Linux environments.

  • Contribute to the testing, troubleshooting, and validation of server hardware and software components.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review designs, optimize performance, and ensure system reliability.

  • Document technical specifications, test plans, and results to support continuous improvement and compliance.

  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and project planning to meet organizational goals.

What's Needed?

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8+ years experience in data center/server hardware testing and development.

  • Proficiency in C++ and Python programming languages.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps (ADO) workflows.

  • Strong debugging skills and the ability to adapt to changing project priorities.

  • Experience with open-source projects and familiarity with Rust is a plus.
