Job description

We are offering an initial six-month contract as a Social Media Specialist in Basel, with the prospect of transitioning to a permanent role for the right candidate. You will be responsible for our global social media presence, create engaging content for all platforms, and work closely with relevant stakeholders at headquarters as well as regional social media managers to run effective campaigns and boost engagement., * Own and manage Medartis' global social media presence across platforms

  • Plan, create, and publish engaging content (text, image, video) aligned with brand and business objectives
  • Develop and execute organic and paid social media campaigns to support product launches and corporate initiatives
  • Ensure consistent content repurposing and alignment across platforms to maintain a strong global presence
  • Monitor performance using analytics tools and translate insights into actionable improvements
  • Act as a key point of contact for social media, advising and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Clinical Affairs, HR)
  • Support PR/communication activities by ensuring timely, compliant responses to all kinds of topics
  • Stay up to date with digital marketing and social media trends, proactively applying new ideas and formats

Requirements

  • Degree or certification in (digital) marketing, communications, video creation or a related field
  • Experience with managing social media channels and multi-channel campaigns for a B2B brand, from strategy to execution
  • Experience with analytics and digital tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Matomo, Hootsuite)
  • Strong content creation skills across formats with a good sense for storytelling and brand consistency
  • Curiosity for digital trends and emerging social media platforms, with a proactive and hands-on mindset
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working across teams and international stakeholders
  • Solid project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • Fluency in English; German is an advantage; experience in the healthcare or medical device sector is beneficial
