Python Engineer

We are looking for a Python Engineer to join a new pod in Sheffield. This role is central to our Generative AI initiatives. You will work on the backend logic that powers our AI applications, working with modern data structures and cloud infrastructure., * Develop and maintain backend services using Python.

• Implement and optimize Generative AI workflows and integrations.
• Work with Vector Databases to support AI data retrieval.
• Collaborate with Front End engineers to integrate APIs.
• Deploy and manage services on AWS (Azure/GCP fine if you have been working with either).

• Python: Strong commercial experience.
• Strong Backend experience (with some full stack ideal)
• Gen AI Knowledge: Practical experience or strong personal interest (home projects) in Generative AI (RAG, LLMs).
• Database Skills: Understanding of vector databases and data structures.
• Cloud: Familiarity with AWS is highly desirable (though not mandatory).
• Mindset: Curious about AI and able to discuss basic concepts (e.g., "What is a transformer?").

Job Types: Permanent, Fixed term contract Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £70,000.00-£75,000.00 per year, * Company pension
