Job description
Support mission-critical enterprise monitoring operations for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC) by ensuring visibility, performance, and reliability across systems and networks., Enterprise systems only perform as well as they are monitored and maintained. Visibility into performance, availability, and risk is essential to keeping mission operations on track.
As part of the Enterprise Monitoring Systems team supporting the DHS NOSC, you ensure systems are continuously observed, analyzed, and optimized. Your work enables teams to identify issues early, respond quickly, and maintain reliable operations across critical environments.

What You Will Do
You will support enterprise monitoring and system operations by:
- Performing administration, configuration, and maintenance across enterprise monitoring platforms
- Installing, upgrading, and maintaining monitoring tools across Windows and Linux environments
- Managing server operating systems on physical and virtual platforms
- Monitoring system and network performance and identifying issues before they impact operations
- Supporting WAN and LAN environments, including VPNs, MPLS, and enterprise network infrastructure
- Working with network devices such as routers, switches, access points, and firewalls
- Providing training and support to users on monitoring tools and system capabilities
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation, policies, and knowledge base articles
- Communicating technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Following established processes and ensuring consistent, high-quality customer support
- Documenting and tracking issues within ticketing systems
- Participating in a rotating on-call schedule to support operational needs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline required
- 2 or more years of relevant experience required
- Current DoD 8570 IA Baseline Certification, IAT Level I required, * Interim active Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Current DoD 8570 IAT Level I certification and ability to obtain Computing Environment certification within 6 months
- 2 or more years of relevant experience
- Experience with Windows Server and Linux operating systems in virtualized environments
- Strong understanding of network concepts including WAN, LAN, VPN, and enterprise connectivity
- Experience with monitoring platforms such as SCOM, Broadcom DX NetOps, Dynatrace, or Nexthink
- Familiarity with Cisco networking concepts and configurations
- Proficiency in PowerShell and working knowledge of SQL or MySQL
- Strong troubleshooting skills across systems and networks
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
