Job description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a Network Engineer to join the Network Operations team for a variety of Cisco and other network technologies, such as experience managing and deploying LAN/WAN and wireless networks. The client is in the retail space so this ideal candidate will be providing support for the corporate and in store networks. This is a contract opportunity with potential for extension based on project needs and performance. There is travel required to the data center in Austin, TX for this position for 2-3 days at a time and the candidate will need experience working in fast paced support environments with hands on experience working with VPN technologies., * Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues (L2/L3 support)
  • Configure and maintain Cisco network security and access solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network reliability and performance
  • Monitor network systems and proactively address performance or security concerns
  • Provide documentation and support for network configurations and changes
  • Lead the configuration, administration, and troubleshooting of Palo Alto firewalls, ensuring secure network traffic, VPN connectivity, and compliance with security standards

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with: o Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) o Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) o Cisco Meraki solutions (wireless, switching, and security)

  • Experience supporting enterprise-level network environments

-Hands-on experience configuring, managing, and supporting Palo Alto firewalls, including security policies, NAT, VPNs, and threat prevention

  • Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs)

  • Ability to troubleshoot across multiple layers of the network stack

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or higher)
  • Experience in large-scale or multi-site environments
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
