Job description
The role at a glance: Fully remote, sr individual contributor on a Platform and Infrastructure team within a broader Engineering organization.
What you'd own: Designing and operating the IDP that powers the engineering org. That includes multi-cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes cluster architecture and operations, GitOps delivery pipelines, CI/CD tooling, observability and reliability practices, and developer experience work like self-service tooling and golden-path templates. Security and compliance work is woven throughout, supporting SOC 2 and PCI-DSS controls.
The core stack: Kubernetes on AKS, EKS, and GKE. Terraform and Terraform Cloud with policy as code through Sentinel or OPA. Flux for GitOps with Helm releases managed from GitHub. Harness and GitHub Actions for CI/CD. Dynatrace for observability with distributed tracing, log management, and SLO/SLI tracking. HashiCorp Vault for secrets. Python, Go, or Bash for automation.
Requirements
5+ years in platform engineering. Production Kubernetes on at least one major cloud. Real Terraform Cloud experience including workspaces, remote state, and policy as code. GitOps experience with Flux or ArgoCD. Multi-cloud working knowledge across at least two of Azure, AWS, GCP. Scripting in Python, Go, or Bash. Solid networking fundamentals and security awareness around RBAC, secrets, and supply chain. Service mesh experience (Istio, Linkerd, Consul Connect, Kong Mesh), Backstage or IDP design pattern familiarity, FinOps and cloud cost optimization, CNCF community involvement, and certifications like CKA, CKAD, CKS, HashiCorp Terraform Associate, etc.
