Job description
Join our dynamic team as an IT Technologist Contractor, where you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing our internal knowledge discovery platform. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely or onsite, depending on your preference. Responsibilities
- Develop and improve semantic search features to enhance natural language queries and contextual answer generation.
- Implement advanced retrieval-augmented pipelines and manage vector embedding storage.
- Build and maintain components of graph databases, ensuring seamless integration.
- Integrate LLM-based services securely through APIs to enhance system capabilities.
- Support backend services using modern frameworks like Node.js and TypeScript.
- Develop SQL-based reporting and analytics to drive data-driven decisions.
- Automate ETL processes and ensure data normalization across various content sources.
- Contribute to the design and development of user-friendly search and discovery interfaces.
- Assist in project documentation and workflow definition for smooth technical handoff.
Requirements
- Proven experience in building AI-powered search or semantic search systems.
- Strong knowledge of vector embeddings and retrieval frameworks like RAG/GraphRAG.
- Hands-on experience with graph databases such as Neo4j or Cypher.
- Proficiency in backend technologies like Node.js and TypeScript.
- Experience with SQL databases and analytics.
- Comfortable working with APIs and modern development workflows.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with GraphQL/Apollo for enhanced data querying.
- Background in ETL automation to streamline data processes.
- Frontend/UI experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.
- Familiarity with knowledge systems, search tools, or content platforms.
- Ability to work independently with periodic check-ins.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
