Job description

You will be the first point of contact for customers who need help with their EPOS system, tills, printers, card terminals, software, or general technical issues. The role is office-based and involves handling incoming support calls, logging issues, diagnosing faults, and escalating more complex problems to senior technicians where needed., Answer incoming support calls in a professional and helpful manner

  • Log customer issues accurately via our ticketing system

  • Troubleshoot basic EPOS, hardware, software, and connectivity issues

  • Talk customers through simple fixes over the phone

  • Use remote access tools where required

  • Escalate more complex issues to senior support staff or engineers

  • Keep customers updated and manage expectations clearly

  • Follow internal processes and support procedures

  • Maintain a calm, patient approach, even when customers are under pressure

Requirements

This is an entry-level role suited to someone with a good telephone manner, strong common sense, and an interest in IT, EPOS, or technical support. Full training will be provided, but you must be confident speaking to customers, asking the right questions, and working through problems logically., Good telephone manner

  • Clear communication skills

  • Basic IT knowledge or a genuine interest in technology

  • Ability to follow instructions and processes

  • Good problem-solving skills

  • Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn

  • Comfortable working in a busy support environment

  • Previous customer service or help-desk experience would be useful, but is not essential

Training provided

We will provide training on our EPOS software, support systems, troubleshooting process, and common customer issues. You do not need to know EPOS before starting, but you do need to be switched on, organised, and willing to learn.
