Job description

A leading biotechnology company is seeking a Principal Experience Designer to lead UX/UI and customer experience strategy for enterprise digital products that enhance patient and customer engagement. This role serves as a strategic individual contributor responsible for shaping product vision, driving innovation, mentoring designers, and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver human-centered, compliant, and business-driven digital experiences., * Lead the strategy, vision, and execution of UX/UI and customer experience initiatives by defining design standards, developing product roadmaps, driving innovation, and ensuring digital solutions align with business objectives, user needs, and industry best practices.

  • Partner with business leaders, product managers, analytics, engineering, global teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to define target users, prioritize features, align product strategies, resolve competing priorities, and deliver impactful customer experiences.
  • Drive product planning and execution by developing business cases, defining requirements, supporting funding initiatives, measuring product performance, incorporating stakeholder feedback, and ensuring successful delivery throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Promote user-centered design by leveraging research, analytics, experimentation, and optimization while collaborating with Legal, Compliance, Privacy, and technical teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and high-quality digital products.
  • Mentor and coach designers, foster design excellence and innovation, promote UX/UI best practices across the organization, and help cultivate a collaborative, high-performing design culture.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional experience.
  • 7 years in UX design, product design, experience design, customer experience, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, Science, Operations, Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  • An advanced degree (MBA or related graduate degree) is preferred.
  • Experience owning the full product lifecycle, including product vision, roadmap development, execution, stakeholder alignment, adoption, and business impact measurement.
  • Strong expertise in UX/UI design, customer experience strategy, human-centered design, digital product development, and design thinking methodologies.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Engineering, Analytics, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence leadership and drive organizational change.
  • Experience working within Agile environments and applying Agile best practices to product development.
  • Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated industries is preferred.
  • Experience with workflow tools, automation platforms, and compliance frameworks is preferred.
  • Experience building and maintaining enterprise design systems is preferred.
