Job description

  • Lead electrical design for hyperscale and enterprise data center projects.
  • Produce and review electrical engineering calculations, reports, specifications and construction drawings.
  • Design medium-voltage and low-voltage power distribution systems.
  • Develop one-line diagrams, equipment layouts and electrical distribution concepts.
  • Design critical power infrastructure including UPS systems, generators, switchgear and ATS.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities with mechanical, structural and civil teams.
  • Attend client meetings and provide technical leadership throughout project delivery.
  • Review shop drawings, RFIs and technical submittals.
  • Support commissioning and construction administration activities.
  • Mentor graduate and junior electrical engineers.
  • Ensure designs comply with NEC, NFPA, IEEE and applicable industry standards.
  • Support business development through technical presentations and proposal input where required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licence required.
  • 8+ years of electrical engineering experience.
  • Previous experience designing mission-critical, data center infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of medium-voltage distribution, emergency power systems and critical electrical infrastructure.
  • Experience using Revit, AutoCAD and SKM or ETAP.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Highly Desirable

  • Hyperscale data center experience.
  • Experience with large campus developments exceeding 50MW.
  • Commissioning or site support experience.
  • Knowledge of Uptime Institute and mission-critical design principles.
  • Consulting engineering background., * data center electrical design: 3 years (Required)
