Job description

Kearney First United Methodist Church is seeking a creative, organized, and technically skilled Director of Multimedia Ministries to help people encounter Jesus through excellent worship experiences and engaging digital communication.

This is more than a technical position. You’ll be part of a collaborative ministry team that uses technology, storytelling, and creativity to help people worship, grow in faith, and connect with our church and community.

What You’ll Do

You’ll oversee the church’s multimedia and technology ministries, including:

  • Lead audio, video, projection, and livestream production for worship services and special events
  • Create and edit videos, graphics, and digital content for worship, social media, and outreach
  • Manage the church website, mobile app, and digital communications
  • Coordinate and support volunteers serving in multimedia and worship technology
  • Help maintain church computer systems and work with outside technology vendors
  • Collaborate with pastors, musicians, and staff to create meaningful worship experiences
  • Support the church’s mission through creativity, teamwork, and servant leadership

Requirements

  • Has experience with audio, video, livestreaming, and multimedia production
  • Is proficient with Microsoft Office, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (or comparable creative software), and web-based technology
  • Enjoys solving technical problems and learning new technology
  • Can recruit, train, and encourage volunteers
  • Is highly organized and able to manage multiple projects
  • Has strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills
  • Works well independently while thriving as part of a collaborative team
  • Supports the mission and ministry of the church, * Degree or training in multimedia, communications, media production, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience with live sound, projection systems, video editing, livestreaming, and website management
  • Experience managing technology in a worship, nonprofit, or event environment is a plus

Physical Requirements
