Job description

As a Junior Revenue Cycle AI Solution Architect at Tarpon Health, you will bring deep revenue cycle knowledge to designing and delivering automations for healthcare providers. You understand how billing, claims, denials, and collections really work, and you use that knowledge to architect intelligent solutions that make these processes faster, more accurate, and easier to scale.

This role is built for people who have designed automations that leverage both agentic and deterministic technology. You need to know how to match the right technology to the problem. You will serve as the design authority for the solutions you lead, translating complex operational workflows into technical blueprints and ensuring seamless delivery from idea through go-live and beyond. You do not need to be a programmer, but you should understand core coding and automation concepts and apply them in your designs to keep us moving efficiently from design to development. Tarpon will support your growth with training in different tools, so a genuine curiosity about technology and the capacity to deepen your technical knowledge over time are essential., * Identify and quantify where automation can remove manual work, reduce errors, and deliver measurable impact across billing, claims, denials, and collections; evaluate opportunities from financial, operational, and technical angles.

  • Translate complex revenue cycle processes into clear requirements, workflow logic, and decision points that serve as the foundation for designing and building scalable, modular solutions.
  • Serve as the design authority for solutions you lead, owning documentation including process maps, technical specifications, and workflow logic that guide development and maintenance.
  • Build and refine AI and agentic solutions using tools like Claude Code, growing from guided work to independent delivery as your skills develop.
  • Write and test prompts, simple scripts, and automations that handle real revenue cycle tasks.
  • Partner with internal teams to take solutions from idea to production, contributing your revenue cycle domain knowledge at every stage and ensuring timely delivery of automation milestones.
  • Test and review AI outputs against revenue cycle rules and approved designs to make sure results are accurate and safe.
  • Support go-live and ongoing production, monitoring automation effectiveness and acting as a long-term steward for solution improvements.
  • Support clients by explaining how solutions work and helping their teams adopt them.
  • Share what you learn and help build a library of revenue cycle knowledge the whole team can use.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on revenue cycle experience across billing, coding, claims, denials, and/or collections, with working knowledge of front, middle, and back-end workflows.
  • Automation design experience integrating across diverse system interfaces and data exchange standards (ideally including API, HL7/FHIR, EDI, and screen-based/RPA automation) in complex healthcare tech environments.
  • Strong AI fluency, with active use of AI tools and a practical understanding of agentic workflows and automation.
  • Eagerness to build, with the motivation to learn tools like Claude Code to design and deliver agentic solutions.
  • Clear communicator who can translate revenue cycle complexity for technical audiences and work comfortably with data, spreadsheets, and software systems., * Familiarity with multiple EHRs (Epic/Cerner/Athenahealth), EDI transaction data (835/277), process mapping tools, and LLM integration in revenue cycle workflows
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent experience in process improvement and workflow optimization
  • Enterprise automation experience using platforms such as UiPath, Power Automate, or equivalent
