Job description

The Data Scientist designs and develops advanced analytical models to support descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics initiatives., * Build statistical and machine learning models.

  • Develop advanced analytics solutions using Python, R, and related tools.
  • Conduct predictive and prescriptive analysis.
  • Support AI and data modernization initiatives.
  • Present findings to technical and executive audiences.
  • Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
  • CAP Professional or equivalent certification.
  • 6 years of relevant experience, or 5 years with a Master’s degree.
  • Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.

Clearance Requirements

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements. Ability to obtain Public Trust prior to hire and maintain during employment is required.

Work Location: Hybrid - USCG HQ (DHS St. Elizabeth’s Campus in D.C.)

Benefits & conditions

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $150,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range., We are always looking for good people!
