Job description

  • Set up claims and get the claim information.
  • Daily interaction with existing and potential clients.
  • Order medical records from providers and communicate with clients and providers during the course of treatment.
  • Obtain documents necessary to support injury and/or liability positions.
  • Interact with insurance carriers and healthcare providers to secure records and account balances.
  • Negotiate a deduction of outstanding medical balances with providers.
  • Work directly with multiple coworkers involved in the management and support of case files.
  • Maintain organized case files.
  • Prepare comprehensive demands and assemble support for submission to carriers.
  • Interact with attorneys and present case synopsis when required.
  • Manage case files from intake to closing under the direction of attorney.
  • Ensure all case management and litigation activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations.

Requirements

Law Firm in Coral Gables seeks BI Paralegal/Case Manager for an immediate opening. This person will be responsible for handling all bodily injury cases. The ideal candidate must possess strong multitasking and organizational skills, as well as the ability to be detail oriented and willing to work in a friendly fast paced environment. This position will be expected to work on a variety of matters., * Must be Bilingual in both English and Spanish.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills both by phone and in person.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, medical providers and insurance carriers on a variety of issues both over the phone or in person.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Proficiency in Aderant/Total Office Software (preferred).
