Job description

We are seeking a Part-Time Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite technical support. This role is responsible for preparing classroom technology, maintaining laptops and AV equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting staff with Microsoft 365 applications and device access. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong desktop support experience who enjoys working in a hands-on environment., * Prepare classroom laptops by installing updates, charging devices, clearing browser history, and verifying testing links.

  • Update and maintain screencast devices, cameras, projectors, and other classroom technology.
  • Inspect, update, and maintain AV kits, replacing or reporting missing or damaged equipment.
  • Track device inventory, assignments, and maintenance history.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity, and login/access issues.
  • Provide support for Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Assist users with authentication, profile, and access-related issues.
  • Work with IT to resolve device configuration and account issues.
  • Provide technical support to staff and contractors while IT tickets are being processed.
  • Support additional applications such as Adobe, LMS, Cognito, and other business systems as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Desktop Support, IT Support, or Help Desk experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting Windows operating systems and desktop/laptop hardware.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, including Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, and OneDrive.
  • Experience with hardware and basic network troubleshooting.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently., * Experience supporting classroom technology or audiovisual (AV) equipment.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), Adobe products, or Cognito.
  • Experience with IT asset management or device inventory tracking.
