Junior Design Engineer

Client Service

• Assist with multiple concurrent engineering projects;
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and commitment to meeting deadlines

Technical Responsibilities

• Have a working knowledge of engineering practices, principles, and awareness of applicable regulations, and codes;
• Perform site inspections and attend field meetings;
• Assist project managers/professional engineers with the design of land development projects and structural design of various structures;
• Gather data from pertinent regulations and available mapping to assist in preparing base maps for each project;
• Knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D and all MS Office products;
• Prepare basic design criteria such as grading, construction details, zoning analyses, and have a knowledge of stormwater management designs;
• Assist in reviewing site plans applications

• EIT certification is preferred but not required; Experience is preferred through prior work experience (0-2 years) or an Accredited Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, surveying, planning, or other technical profession that fits InSite’s core business;
• Experience in AutoCad is preferred
• Fluency in English language , with excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills (public speaking is a plus)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
