Job description

  • Install, route, terminate, and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling.
  • Perform cable testing, loopback testing, and circuit verification.
  • Rack, stack, install, and decommission servers, switches, and other network equipment.
  • Support data center moves, adds, changes, and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Install cable trays, patch panels, and maintain proper cable management.
  • Read and follow network diagrams and installation documentation.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of installations and network paths.
  • Follow all safety standards and customer site procedures.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and customer teams.

Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of experience in Data Center Operations, Structured Cabling, or Field Services.
  • Hands-on experience with fiber optic and copper cabling.
  • Experience using cabling hand tools and testing equipment.
  • Basic understanding of networking and data center infrastructure.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel 100% and work overtime/weekends when required.

Preferred Skills

  • OTDR testing
  • Fusion or Mechanical Splicing
  • BICSI certification (preferred but not required)
  • Experience supporting enterprise or hyperscale data centers

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (75 lbs with assistance).
  • Comfortable working on ladders, in confined spaces, and active data center environments.

$21 - $24 an hour - Contract
