Job description
The Application Support Specialist will provide onsite technical support for court staff, judges, and courtroom operations. The role is responsible for troubleshooting desktop, software, application, and audio-visual issues while ensuring smooth day-to-day court proceedings., * Provide onsite technical support to court employees, judges, and judicial staff.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, application, and connectivity issues.
- Support courtroom audio-visual, recording, and broadcasting systems during live court proceedings.
- Assist users with application functionality, troubleshooting, and general technical inquiries.
- Learn and support court-specific technologies, including MiFILE and other judicial systems.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to PCs, peripherals, conferencing tools, and document management systems.
- Escalate complex technical issues to the County IT team as needed.
- Deliver excellent customer service to court staff and the public.
- Ensure courtroom and business technology systems remain operational.
Requirements
- Experience in Desktop Support, Application Support, or End-User Technical Support.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows PCs, software applications, and peripherals.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite environments.
- Knowledge of audio-visual technologies and conference room/courtroom support.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced onsite environment.
- Ability to quickly learn new applications and business systems.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with courtroom AV and recording systems (e.g., JAVS, BIS).
- Experience supporting Zoom and hybrid meeting technologies.
- Familiarity with Court MiFILE or other document management systems.
