IT Support Engineer

Do you enjoy variety in your day-to-day and want to join a growing Managed Security Service Provider where you’ll get real hands-on exposure across service desk, projects, and field work?, This Farnham-based MSSP is looking for an IT Support Engineer to join their technical team of 10, supporting around 60 clients and 300 end users across a Microsoft-centric environment. Working with Halo as the PSA, NinjaRMM for remote monitoring, and Acronis for backup, you’ll play a key role in keeping client environments running smoothly and securely.

This is a blended role split across service desk tickets, project work, and on-site field visits, so no two days will look the same. Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as travel to client sites is a regular part of the job.

What you’ll be doing:

Get involved in a broad mix of support work, from day-to-day ticket resolution to hands-on project delivery.

• Handling 1st and 2nd line support tickets via Halo, in line with SLAs and best practice.
• Administering and troubleshooting Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint and Intune.
• Monitoring and managing endpoints through NinjaRMM.
• Supporting backup health and issue resolution using Acronis.
• Troubleshooting networking issues across routers, firewalls and switches.
• Carrying out on-site break-fix visits and supporting field engineering work across the client base.
• Contributing to project work, including Microsoft 365 migrations, Azure deployments, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Assisting with security tasks such as patching, vulnerability management and endpoint protection., * Contributory pension

MSP, Halo, * Previous experience in an MSP or MSSP support environment.

• Solid technical grounding across Microsoft 365, Entra ID and Azure.
• Experience with PSA/RMM platforms (Halo and NinjaRMM ideal, but similar tools considered).
• Networking troubleshooting experience, including firewalls and switches.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine enjoyment of varied, hands-on work.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Acronis or similar backup platforms.
• Exposure to project or migration work within an MSP setting.
• Interest in progressing towards more senior technical or field engineering responsibilities.
