Job description

Firecrown is seeking a senior individual contributor who owns major non-website system implementations end to end. They scope the work, own the budget, select and manage the third-party development firm that executes the build, coordinate stakeholders across departments, and hold go-live authority. Internal developers provide strategic and architectural guidance only; the hands-on build is done by the contracted vendor under this person’s management., * Scoping & budget ownership. Define scope, requirements, milestones, timelines, and budgets - and own the budget outcome.

  • Vendor selection & management. Source, contract, and manage the third-party dev firm to scope,

budget, quality, and deadline.

  • Cross-functional coordination. Align editorial, sales, finance, and operations stakeholders through

each program.

  • Go-live authority. Own the launch decision - testing, cutover, risk, and rollback planning.

  • Technical partnership. Draw on the CTO and internal dev team for architecture guidance and stack fit.

Requirements

  • Track record delivering enterprise system implementations or migrations end to end (CRM, ERP,

production, or comparable).

  • Proven vendor/contractor management - owning external dev teams to scope, budget, and deadline.

  • Strong program management fundamentals: scoping, budgeting, risk, stakeholder communication,

driving to launch.

  • Comfort owning budgets and making the go/no-go call at go-live.

  • Based in or willing to relocate to Chattanooga; on-site role.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with Omeda (or comparable CRM) and/or WoodWing (or comparable print/publishing

production system).

  • Background in media, publishing, or subscriptions.

  • Formal PM discipline (PMP, PRINCE2, or rigorous Agile).

  • Fluency with AI tools for scoping, documentation, and vendor evaluation.
