Requirements
- Need candidates who demonstrate technical depth across core infrastructure disciplines, not just application modernization and/or transformation initiatives.
- Proven leadership experience driving complex infrastructure implementations and migrations.
- Experience leading enterprise-scale projects.
- Mainframe experience is required. Candidates who only managed mainframe teams or relied on third-party vendors without personally performing the technical work will not be considered.
This is a strategy-focused role, not a server deployment or engineering position. The ideal candidate is an Enterprise Infrastructure Architect with experience developing infrastructure strategies, roadmaps, and long-term technology direction-not someone focused solely on solution design or implementation. Summarized Must-Haves:
- 10+ years of infrastructure and cloud architecture experience.
- Hybrid cloud experience (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP).
- Enterprise infrastructure strategy and roadmap development experience.
- Experience with networking (firewalls, DNS), storage (SAN/NAS), backup, and virtualization (not all technologies are required).
- Experience with, or knowledge of, AIOps and FinOps.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Splunk, ELK, or Dynatrace (experience with all tools is not required).
- Experience designing highly reliable environments, including Disaster Recovery (DR), High Availability (HA), High Resiliency, Business Continuity, Fault Tolerance, and Failover.
- Executive leadership experience presenting to C-level stakeholders and collaborating across Architecture, Engineering, Security, and external partners (e.g., MSPs).
- Relevant certifications preferred, including AWS (preferred), Azure, TOGAF, ITIL, and/or Terraform.
