Job description

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused IT Support Engineer to join our growing team in Manchester. As an IT Support Engineer, you will provide technical assistance for hardware, software, business applications, and IT systems while ensuring excellent customer service. What You’ll Do

  • Provide first-line and second-line IT support to end users via phone, email, remote support, and ticketing systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printer, network, and system issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and business applications.
  • Support Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and other business systems.
  • Manage user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
  • Record, update, and maintain accurate service tickets and technical documentation.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior technical teams when required.
  • Assist with IT equipment setup, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve service delivery and technical processes.
  • Follow IT security, data protection, and company procedures.
  • Deliver professional and customer-focused technical support.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in IT support, technical support, help desk, service desk, customer service, or a related role is beneficial but not essential.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, computer hardware, networking, and common business applications is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable learning new technologies and systems.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise work and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Relevant IT qualifications or certifications are welcomed but not required.
