Job description

The CRM & Data Analyst is responsible for the administration, optimization and day-to-day use of the Museum’s CRM platform. This hands-on role ensures systems are effectively configured and maintained to support Marketing, Development, Finance and Visitor Experience. The CRM & Data Analyst serves as the day-to-day liaison to the CRM system vendor, provides CRM administration and ensures data integrity, while also using the system to build reports, analyze data and summarize findings., System Management

  • Serve as the day-to-day administrator for the CRM system including configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, modifications and plug ins/integrations
  • Provide internal coordination during systems transitions/migrations, serving as liaison to vendor(s)’ project managers.
  • Manage user access, roles and permissions to ensure appropriate security and usability
  • Serve as day-to-day contact for CRM system vendor for support requests and system updates
  • Follow and maintain SOPs workflows, naming conventions and documentation (SOPs); train and support internal users
  • Collaborate with internal departments and to ensure accurate and seamless data flow into system
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve system functionality and efficiency
  • Support Museum ticketing initiatives such as creating/modifying tickets, optimizing ticket purchase processes (including tracking tools) and developing dashboards for ticket sales

CRM, Data, Reporting

  • Ensure data integrity through established data standards, ongoing monitoring, audits and adherence to organizational data governance and privacy standards
  • Implement CRM strategies that drive visitor retention and loyalty; ensure data can be segmented effectively for targeted communications
  • Set up automated marketing, membership and donor communications (via email and direct mail) including performance tracking
  • Develop and analyze reports with defined KPIs and actionable insights, including visitation, coupons, ticket sales, audience analyses; create new and customized reports as needed
  • Develop, analyze and summarize findings of in-house surveys
  • Pull and analyze Museum audience data in relation to advertising strategies
  • Pull and analyze ad hoc data requests across departments to inform organizational decision making, support grant applications and contribute to annual reports
  • Keep finger on the pulse of industry trends

Requirements

Required

  • 2-3 years of experience administering CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Altru, Humanitru or similar)
  • Strong understanding of database structure, system configuration and data workflows
  • Demonstrated ability to translate operational needs into system solutions
  • Experience with data exports, CSV manipulation, SQL, Excel, Tableau or other data tools
  • Analytical skills to interpret large datasets to inform institutional decision-making
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across departments

Preferred

  • Experience in arts, culture, attractions or hospitality environments
  • Familiarity with data privacy best practices and basic security protocols
  • Experience supporting or training non-technical end users
