Systems Engineer

As a Systems Engineer, you’ll support and improve multiple client environments while helping elevate the overall quality of service across the organization., * Administer and support Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange, SQL Server, Remote Desktop Services, and Windows client environments.

• Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft infrastructure for multiple clients.
• Manage virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V.
• Support Microsoft Entra ID, Azure services, identity management, Conditional Access, and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot networking technologies including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Manage backups, disaster recovery, system monitoring, patch management, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
• Support endpoint security, multi-factor authentication, vulnerability remediation, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Utilize RMM tools and PowerShell automation to improve efficiency and standardize support processes.
• Create documentation, technical standards, and knowledge base articles for the support team.
• Mentor junior engineers and assist with technical escalations.
• Work directly with vendors to resolve complex infrastructure and hardware issues.
• Participate in an on-call rotation after completing onboarding.

Required

• 6+ years of Systems Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering experience
• Strong Microsoft server and desktop administration experience
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Active Directory environments
• Experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V
• Strong networking knowledge including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, switching, routing, and firewalls
• Experience supporting backup, disaster recovery, monitoring, and patch management
• PowerShell scripting experience
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for occasional local travel

Preferred

• Microsoft certifications
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Azure administration
• Experience with Fortinet firewalls
• Experience supporting HPE server and storage platforms
• Experience with RMM platforms and IT automation
• Experience working in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment, * High school or equivalent (Preferred), * Systems Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering: 6 years (Preferred)
• VMware or Hyper-V : 3 years (Preferred)
• PowerShell: 3 years (Preferred)
