Job description

  • Ensuring uninterrupted learning space operations by responding to hotline inquiries with immediate, high-priority phone and in-person support.\n
  • Collaborating with full-time staff to deliver comprehensive technical support to faculty, staff, and the broader university community.\n
  • Assessing, resolving, and documenting learning space service requests, incidents, and tasks within the ticketing system to ensure accurate records.\n
  • Facilitating efficient setup and real-time support for learning space technology to keep academic schedules on track.\n
  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software malfunctions during active instruction and between classes to minimize downtime.\n
  • Ensuring long-term hardware reliability by maintaining accurate asset records and performing routine functional systems testing and preventive maintenance.\n
  • Gaining hands-on experience with technical projects involving the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of specialized audiovisual software and hardware.\n

Requirements

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly in contexts of customer service; the ability to handle potentially challenging situations.\n
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, specifically the ability to cultivate positive work relationships.\n
  • Working knowledge of multimedia equipment operation and interfacing.\n
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills.\n
  • High degree of adaptability.\n
  • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS, Zoom/Teams, and Microsoft 365.\n
  • Knowledge of HTML5 highly valued.\n
  • Training provided to ensure job success.\n
