Data and Analytics Engineering Manager

You will shape the data foundation that supports business-critical decision making, working at scale while driving engineering excellence, reliability, and innovation across a modern data platform., * Lead, coach, and develop a team of Analytics Engineers and Data Engineers

• Own data ingestion pipelines, data modelling, warehouse orchestration, and platform automation
• Drive the adoption of engineering best practices including CI/CD, code review, testing, and version control
• Build and maintain reliable, scalable, and high-performing data platforms and pipelines
• Establish strong data quality, monitoring, observability, and incident management processes
• Define and govern a trusted semantic layer to ensure consistency of business metrics
• Optimise platform performance and cloud data warehouse costs
• Partner with analytics, product, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions
• Communicate platform strategy, roadmap, risks, and investment priorities to senior leadership
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve engineering productivity and delivery

• Strong commercial experience leading Analytics Engineering or Data Engineering teams
• Deep expertise in modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or GCP-based ecosystems
• Advanced knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing, ELT/ETL design, and pipeline orchestration
• Experience with tools such as dbt, Airflow, or comparable data transformation and orchestration platforms
• Strong understanding of data quality, testing, monitoring, and observability frameworks
• Experience implementing CI/CD, automated testing, and software engineering best practices for data teams
• Ability to balance people leadership, technical direction, and delivery management
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including engagement with senior leadership
• Experience managing platform costs, performance optimisation, and scalability initiatives
• Exposure to AI-assisted engineering workflows or data platform automation is advantageous
