Job description

  • Provide 1st line and 2nd line support for IT-related issues via teams, email or in-person.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware and software systems
  • Assist with the setup of new user accounts, permissions, and passwords
  • Support remote users and ensure they have access to required systems
  • Collaborate with the wider IT team to maintain system security and performance
  • Contribute to ongoing IT projects and system upgrades
  • Assist in IT projects such as system upgrades and new technology implementations

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an IT support role
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems,
  • Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking
  • Familiarity with IT hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, etc.)
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve IT issues efficiently
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle would be beneficial due to the regular travel to offices across London.

About the company

As a dynamic and growing accountancy firm with over 1,200 employees, we are seeking a Junior IT Engineer to join our innovative and forward-thinking IT team, to support the Dains group.

As a Junior IT Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our internal IT systems. You will be a point of contact for resolving technical issues, providing efficient and effective support to colleagues across various departments and offices.

Please note, you will be based in our Leytonstone office, with regular travel to our other offices across London and the South East, including Uxbridge, Dartford and the City.
