Job description

  • Handling 1st & 2nd line issues

  • Visiting client sites on a regular basis

  • Assisting helpdesk when not on site

  • Troubleshooting a variety of technical issues

Technical Requirements

  • Microsoft 365 administration and configuration (Entra/SharePoint/Exchange etc.)

  • Microsoft Active Directory, DNS and Group Policy

  • Microsoft Windows desktops and servers installation and administration

  • Networking: IP addressing and routing, switches, VLANs, wireless networks

  • Network security (firewalls and filtering) installation and administration

Requirements

Fortis are working with a great IT service provider to recruit a technical engineer to join their team. The role will be a mixture of office based (Amersham), client based and home based. You will be a strong communicator and have excellent customer service skills. You will be troubleshooting a wide variety of technical issues whilst handling 1st & 2nd line tickets with the occasional 3rd line thrown in. We are looking for general all rounders who can support a range of technologies but you MUST have good experience with M365, especially SharePoint.

This position would suit someone who has experience in 1st & 2nd line support working for an MSP working with multiple clients. Due to the location of clients having your own transport will be advantageous.
