Job description
Provides on-site technical support and assistance by deploying to CASTLE-NET program field offices for IT infrastructure and end-user device wellness checks. Conducts network performance evaluations, checks conference room equipment, supports end-user devices, and ensures compliance with USACE IT policies. Assists with IT equipment disposal training and supports onsite personnel with IT issue ticketing.
Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others.
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) in IT, Computer Science, or related field, with 8 years of experience in IT and/or field/user support roles. Must have excellent technical knowledge of hardware, software, and network troubleshooting, and experience with IT equipment setup and maintenance. Possesses excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Must be proficient in remote support tools and ticketing systems and must be willing to travel. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator) and familiarity with USACE IT environment and policies is a plus., Bachelors Associate degree +2 years relevant experience, or 4 years relevant experience Masters Bachelor’s (or experience equivalence) +2 years relevant experience Doctorate Master’s (or experience equivalence) +2 years relevant experience
