Computer User Support - Junior

Provides on-site technical support and assistance by deploying to CASTLE-NET program field offices for IT infrastructure and end-user device wellness checks. Conducts network performance evaluations, checks conference room equipment, supports end-user devices, and ensures compliance with USACE IT policies. Assists with IT equipment disposal training and supports onsite personnel with IT issue ticketing.

Applies fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments. Performs work that requires practical experience and training. Work is performed under supervision.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) in IT, Computer Science, or related field. Must have good technical knowledge of hardware, software, and network troubleshooting, and training or experience with IT equipment setup and maintenance. Possesses good problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Must be capable working with remote support tools and ticketing systems and must be willing to travel. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator) and familiarity with USACE IT environment and policies is a plus., Bachelors Associate degree +2 years relevant experience, or 4 years relevant experience Masters Bachelor’s (or experience equivalence) +2 years relevant experience Doctorate Master’s (or experience equivalence) +2 years relevant experience
