Job description

TekFive is seeking an experienced Senior Application Systems Engineer with extensive hands-on expertise supporting IBM TRIRIGA, IBM Maximo Real Estate & Facilities (MREF), and Maximo Application Suite (MAS) environments.

This position supports a critical NASA modernization effort involving the migration of Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) and NASA Headquarters TRIRIGA environments into the Office of Strategic Infrastructure (OSI) Maximo Real Estate & Facilities (MREF) platform within Maximo Application Suite.

The selected engineer will play a key role in sustaining production operations, supporting migration activities, configuring enterprise applications, validating data, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring uninterrupted support throughout the transition.

What You’ll Do

  • Administer and support IBM TRIRIGA and IBM Maximo Real Estate & Facilities (MREF) environments.
  • Maintain stable production operations throughout migration and post-deployment activities.
  • Support dual-environment operations between legacy TRIRIGA and the new MAS MREF platform.
  • Configure workflows, security roles, business objects, and application settings.
  • Troubleshoot application, database, integration, and system performance issues.
  • Perform data validation and quality assurance following migration activities.
  • Support software upgrades, patching, testing, and release deployments.
  • Maintain reporting capabilities using enterprise reporting tools.
  • Support facility management data including Construction of Facilities (CoF) and Facility Condition Assessment (FCA).
  • Develop technical documentation, operating procedures, and training materials.
  • Provide end-user support and conduct user training as required.
  • Coordinate with architects, developers, infrastructure teams, and functional stakeholders.
  • Monitor application performance and recommend improvements.
  • Assist with software licensing, configuration management, and change control activities.

Requirements

Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (or Active Clearance if required)

Employment Type: Full-Time, * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.

  • 8+ years supporting enterprise applications.
  • Hands-on administration experience with one or more of: *

  • IBM TRIRIGA
  • IBM Maximo
  • IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS)
  • IBM MREF
  • Experience configuring workflows, security, and enterprise application settings.
  • Experience supporting development, test, staging, and production environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across application, database, and integration layers.
  • Experience supporting enterprise software upgrades and patch deployments.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities., * Direct experience with IBM MREF implementations.
  • Experience migrating IBM TRIRIGA to IBM MREF.
  • NASA or other Federal Government experience.
  • Familiarity with Construction of Facilities (CoF) and Facility Condition Assessment (FCA).
  • Experience with: *

  • SQL
  • IBM Cognos
  • BIRT Reporting
  • Power BI
  • ETL tools
  • Experience supporting enterprise asset management or facilities management systems.
  • Knowledge of federal cybersecurity and IT governance standards.
