Job description

DUTIES: Design and develop scalable web and mobile applications using modern front-end and backend technologies and cloud infrastructure. Design and develop robust system infrastructure and database solutions. Evaluate architectural trade-offs and apply synchronous and asynchronous design patterns. Write clean, efficient, unit-tested and well-documented code for both client-side and server-side components. Up to 10% domestic travel required. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study and Six (6) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, or related occupation. Six (6) years of experience with: Web application development with a focus on front-end technologies including ReactJS/HTML/CSS/JavaScript; Python; Multi-tier production software systems utilizing HTTP APIs including REST and GraphQL, and backend datastores including PostgreSQL; Cloud platforms including AWS; Data storage solutions, databases, and data processing frameworks; and Observability and monitoring in any one of distributed systems including ELK stack, OpenTelemetry for distributed tracing, metrics, and logging. Three (3) years of experience with: Java, Quarkus, and Spring Boot; Databricks; Azure and GCP, and container orchestration technologies including Kubernetes; and DataDog, Prometheus and Grafana.
