Job description
We are looking for an experienced SaaS Platform Engineer to join the SaaS Delivery Services (SDS) team within a large-scale regulated banking environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management, governance, integration, security, and operational excellence of enterprise SaaS platforms. This role focuses on ensuring SaaS solutions are secure, compliant, resilient, cost-effective, and aligned with enterprise architecture and regulatory requirements.
The SaaS Platform Engineer will act as a technical and functional owner for strategic SaaS services, collaborating with vendors, security teams, architecture teams, risk departments, procurement, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable enterprise SaaS capabilities., * Manage the complete lifecycle of enterprise SaaS applications, including:
- SaaS onboarding
- Implementation
- Configuration
- Operational management
- Upgrades
- Renewal
- Retirement
- Ensure SaaS platforms remain secure, stable, compliant, and aligned with enterprise standards.
- Act as the technical owner for assigned SaaS solutions.

Support platform adoption and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure SaaS platforms comply with:
- Security policies
- Risk requirements
- Privacy regulations
- Banking compliance standards
- Enterprise governance frameworks
- Perform risk assessments and coordinate remediation activities.
- Support internal audits, regulatory reviews, and compliance initiatives.

Maintain SaaS documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
- Manage SaaS identity integrations using:
- Single Sign-On (SSO)
- SAML
- OAuth
- SCIM
- Collaborate with Identity and Access Management teams to ensure secure access management.

Support user provisioning, authentication, authorization, and access governance.
- Support secure integration of SaaS platforms with enterprise technology environments.
- Work with architecture and platform teams to design scalable SaaS solutions.
- Manage APIs and integrations between SaaS applications and internal platforms.
- Support operational monitoring, availability management, and performance optimization.

Identify opportunities for automation of operational and governance processes.
- Act as the primary technical contact for SaaS vendors.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate:
- Product updates
- Release cycles
- Service improvements
- Incident resolution
- Contract-related activities

Review vendor roadmaps and assess business impact.
- Monitor SaaS service availability, performance, and operational risks.
- Manage incidents and support root cause analysis.
- Coordinate SaaS upgrades, patches, and vendor-driven changes.
- Ensure changes follow enterprise change management processes.

Support service continuity and disaster recovery requirements.
- Monitor SaaS license consumption and utilization.
- Support license optimization initiatives.
- Improve cost transparency and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.

Ensure SaaS investments provide maximum business value.

- Support users and stakeholders in effectively adopting SaaS solutions.
Requirements
- 6-8 years of experience in SaaS platform engineering, application management, or cloud service management.
- Strong understanding of enterprise SaaS lifecycle management.
- Experience managing SaaS platforms within large enterprise environments.
- Experience working in regulated environments, preferably banking or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Microsoft Azure
- SaaS governance
- Cloud service management
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- SSO integrations
- API integrations
- Service management processes
- Experience with:
- ServiceNow
