Job description

Currently, we’re on the lookout for a highly creative and self-motivated IT Technician to join our spectacularly talented team, recognized as the best in the world at what they do!

At DCL, we value positive attitudes, quick thinking, and professionalism. The IT Technician will be a critical front-line support for our end users, providing essential desktop support both onsite and remotely.

This role involves maintaining and upgrading user PCs and software, being responsible for Backup Tape Systems (Veeam using HP Hardware), keeping a detailed inventory of all technology, and assisting in various system and network tasks. You will also have the opportunity to expand your skills and knowledge by working on special projects and assisting the Systems Administrator with various tasks.

The IT Technician also researches issues to resolution while maintaining that knowledge within our ticketing system and devotes time to learning, both with our team and individually. The ideal candidate will perform all duties with an attention to detail and effective time management and task prioritization.

Requirements

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge in Windows 11, Microsoft Office, Basic Active Directory, and Antivirus software. Familiarity with network troubleshooting, printers-copiers, and TCP/IP protocol is essential.
  • Professional Presentation: Ability to represent DCL impeccably in client-facing situations.
  • Organization and Attention to Detail: Excellent at managing multiple tasks and maintaining critical systems.
  • High Energy and Team Spirit: Bring enthusiasm and a collaborative spirit to every task.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable handling PC hardware and peripherals.
  • Physical Stamina and Strength: Capable of lifting minor computer equipment and sitting at a desk for long periods.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work occasional night and weekend hours as needed.
  • Sense of Humor and Communication Skills: Maintain a positive attitude and excellent communication skills; both written and verbal.
  • Pride in Work: Take ownership of your role and responsibilities.
