Job description

In this role, you will help coordinate a team of senior consultants working on complex system fixes. You are not expected to be a technical expert in Oracle or SAP systems yet, but you should be someone who enjoys bringing order to a technical project. You will assist in managing the daily flow of tasks, helping the team adhere to clear timelines while keeping our partner in Hamburg updated on our progress., Working as a Junior Scrum Master at Alpine Business Consulting involves managing the administrative and organizational side of our project delivery. Your day to day will include several key tasks:

  • Facilitating daily stand up meetings to keep the consulting team aligned on current tasks and blockers.
  • Maintaining the project backlog, ensuring that tasks are clearly defined and assigned to the right team members.
  • Assisting in the creation of project documentation and configuration guides that the client will use after the handover.
  • Helping the team stay focused by identifying and removing small hurdles that might slow down technical progress.
  • Supporting the sprint planning process and ensuring that our commitments to the client are realistic and achievable.
  • Collecting data on project progress to help senior consultants provide accurate updates during stakeholder meetings.
  • Ensuring that our internal project management tools are kept up to date with clean data and current status reports.

Requirements

Since we operate as a fully remote team, your ability to communicate clearly in writing and through video calls is essential. You will be helping to maintain a single source of truth for the project, making sure that what is being built matches the requirements that were originally discussed. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a high level of mentorship from consultants who have decades of experience in the field., * A basic understanding of Agile principles or Scrum frameworks, perhaps from a certification course, university project, or internship.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain timelines and tasks clearly to both technical and non technical people.
  • A high level of comfort with remote work tools and a disciplined approach to staying organized without an office environment.
  • An interest in business consulting and how finance teams use data to make decisions.
  • The ability to listen carefully and document technical requirements accurately.
  • A proactive approach to solving problems, such as noticing when a task is stalled and asking the right questions to move it forward.
  • Familiarity with project management software like Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps is helpful but not required.

Benefits & conditions

We provide a workspace where you can learn how high end consulting projects are actually managed. The pay is competitive for the market and reflect the importance of this role within our project teams. Because we are remote, you have the flexibility to manage your own workspace while staying connected to a supportive team. You will have direct access to senior professionals who value documentation and clear processes over office politics or corporate buzzwords. We prioritize professional growth and will provide the training needed to help you move from a junior role into more independent project management responsibilities.

About the company

Alpine Business Consulting is a team of specialists focused on a specific problem: enterprise performance management and reporting systems that do not work. Often, large organizations invest heavily in planning tools only to find that the initial setup was rushed or poorly planned. This leads to finance teams relying on manual spreadsheets and mismatched data. We step in to clean up those systems, configure them properly, and ensure the client can actually use them once we leave. Our partner is a Hamburg based organization currently going through a significant transition in how they handle internal reporting and data management. As we help them rebuild their analytics and EPM stack, we need a Junior Scrum Master to support our consultants and the client team. This is a fully remote position that focuses on keeping our workflows organized and ensuring our documentation matches the technical work being done on the ground., At Alpine Business Consulting, we avoid the fluff often found in the consulting world. We provide fixed price quotes and we focus on delivering a system that works reliably. Documentation is a core part of our service. We do not want our clients to be dependent on us forever. We want to give them the configuration guides and the training they need to manage their own systems. As a Junior Scrum Master, you are the guardian of this transparency. You help ensure that every decision is recorded and that every task brings us closer to a successful, clean handover to the client team.
