Job description

Description We are looking for a dependable Test Center Administrator to support daily operations at a detail-oriented testing facility in Rapid City, South Dakota. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, follows procedures carefully, and is comfortable working in a structured, security-focused environment. The person in this role will welcome candidates, oversee web-based exams, and help maintain a smooth and compliant testing experience during part-time operating hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome test takers upon arrival and provide clear guidance on the check-in process and testing procedures.

  • Verify identification and confirm each candidate meets entry requirements before being admitted to the testing area.

  • Conduct security screenings by checking for prohibited items such as notes, calculators, or other unauthorized materials.

  • Monitor the testing room at regular intervals to help protect exam integrity and address issues promptly.

  • Support the administration of computer-based certification, credentialing, and academic exams.

  • Perform light administrative tasks such as scanning documents, organizing records, and entering information accurately.

  • Use office applications and testing-related systems to manage candidate information and support daily site activity.

Requirements

  • Maintain an attentive and detail-oriented presence at the front desk and throughout the testing center during open days.

  • Assist with general site readiness and ensure the testing space remains orderly, secure, and welcoming. Requirements * Prior experience in customer service, front desk support, data entry, or a similar administrative role.

  • Comfort using computers, web-based applications, email, and Microsoft Office tools such as Word and Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow policies consistently in a controlled testing environment.

  • Ability to remain on your feet periodically and walk through the testing room throughout the day.

  • Clear communication skills and a detail-focused approach when assisting candidates and enforcing rules.

  • Dependable organizational skills, including file handling, scanning, and accurate record maintenance.
