Job description

IT Asset Management Inventory Management Lifecycle Management IT Service Management Organizational Skills Full Stack Development Artificial Intelligence Business Transformation Process Driven Development Inventory Management System, We are seeking an IT Support Technician to provide technical support, IT asset management, and inventory control services in a fast-paced enterprise environment. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate hardware asset records, conducting audits, supporting IT lifecycle management processes, and delivering exceptional customer service to end users and internal stakeholders., * Maintain and manage IT hardware asset records across multiple asset management and service management platforms.

  • Track hardware assets throughout their lifecycle, including receiving, deployment, transfers, repairs, and decommissioning.
  • Perform electronic and physical audits of IT hardware assets to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance.
  • Reconcile asset records and identify discrepancies between inventory systems and physical equipment.
  • Utilize IT Service Management (ITSM) and asset management tools to update asset status, ownership, and location information.
  • Support end users by responding to IT-related requests and providing excellent customer service.
  • Document asset management activities, inventory updates, and audit findings.
  • Generate reports and maintain inventory tracking spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
  • Coordinate with IT teams to support hardware deployments, equipment refreshes, and asset recovery initiatives.
  • Assist with inventory control, equipment staging, and asset tagging processes.

Requirements

  • Experience performing both physical and electronic IT asset audits.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet applications such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or OpenOffice Calc.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to accurately track, update, and reconcile asset inventories.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with end users and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment., * Experience working with Cherwell, Ivanti Neurons, Ivanti Asset Manager, or similar ITSM platforms.
  • Knowledge of IT asset lifecycle management best practices.
  • Experience supporting hardware deployment, inventory control, or asset management projects.
  • Familiarity with desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations, printers, and other end-user hardware.

This is a Contract position based out of Madison, WI. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
