Job description
The Configuration & Data Management Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the CDM team by performing accurate data entry, maintaining configuration records, and processing change documentation. This position focuses on foundational CDM tasks, ensuring product data is complete, consistent, and properly controlled in accordance with internal procedures.
Responsibilities
- Manage configuration baselines and product structures.
- Perform data entry across multiple systems.
- Create and distribute document and part numbers for multiple programs.
- Assist with root cause analysis for CDM issues.
- Interface with customers, auditors, and program teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 0 to 2+ years of related experience OR 4+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
- Proficiency in cross-checking information, organization, and updating databases
- Capability to prioritize multiple requests across multiple systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with technical data
- Ability to communicate across multiple groups
- Experience with engineering drawings, BOMs, and digital product structures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with PLM/QMS systems like Jira, TIPQA, SharePoint, PDM, Business Central
Benefits & conditions
This is a Contract position based out of Fairfax, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $42.93/hr.
