Job description

G.I.S. is seeking a skilled IT Field Support Technician to join a highly sought after Oil & Gas client. This role will provide technical support for computer systems and users, including satellite offices, field communications locations, and rigs.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional IT field support by troubleshooting technical issues related to software, hardware, and network issues in an oil & gas environment
Act as first line of computer support while working with other IT staff on more complex problems
Troubleshoot Laptops, while working in Windows 10/11/Server 2008 environment; troubleshoot Ricoh printer issues, Citrix systems
Research and deploy new equipment and technologies
General knowledge of active directory and managing users
Provide technical support to end-users
Work special projects as needed
Travel to assigned field locations as needed
Work on-call one (1) week per month

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent preferred
1+ years demonstrated experience with IT field support on computer systems and users, including satellite offices, field communications locations, and rigs
Well versed with Ricoh printers and laptop troubleshooting, with proficiency in Windows 10/11/Server 2008; Citrix systems
Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical users a must
Must be able to work on-call one (1) week per month, including weekends and holidays
Must have valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record
Must be able to pass all onboarding requirements including background, drug, MVR, etc.
Must reside within a 50 mile radius of Monahans TX, to be considered, * IT Field Support Technician: 1 year (Required)
