The Roadway Programs Technician 1 role with the Department of Transportation provides a meaningful way to support maintenance operations across Chester County. It plays an important part in keeping projects organized, accurate, and aligned with program goals. As a Roadway Programs Technician 1, you will perform the following duties:
- Financial Processing: Review and process invoices, purchase orders, and payment documents while ensuring correct coding and balances
- Data Review: Analyze SAP and RMS data to support maintenance goals and identify issues that need attention
- Report Monitoring: Compare daily and monthly reports with vendor information and resolve discrepancies
- Mapping Support: Create and review Maintenance IQ Maps to support planning, scheduling, and data accuracy
- Record Management: Maintain logs, files, and transaction records for Visa, encumbrances, and other financial documents
- Customer Assistance: Respond to public inquiries and gather information related to complaints or incidents

Requirements
- One year of experience as a Technical Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment and graduation from high school or GED equivalent; or
- An Associate’s Degree in a field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or other closely related program; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
Benefits & conditions
$41,506.00 - $61,927.00 Annually dental insurance, vision insurance, parental leave, vacation time, paid time off, paid holidays, sick time, retirement plan United States, Pennsylvania, Coatesville, + Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $41,506 (before taxes).
