Job description
firstPRO is seeking an experienced HR Business Analyst to provide critical support for our HR technology environment during a period of significant organizational activity. This six-month contract will help maintain day-to-day HR systems while the internal team focuses on a PeopleSoft upgrade, Open Enrollment, ongoing production support, and temporary staffing coverage., * Partner with HR business leaders to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison between HR stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to support HR technology initiatives.
- Support HR applications by troubleshooting production issues, managing system enhancements, and coordinating defect resolution.
- Perform functional, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for system updates and enhancements.
- Create and maintain business process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflow diagrams, and knowledge base materials.
- Assist with reporting, data analysis, system queries, and documentation to support HR operations.
- Develop training materials and facilitate knowledge transfer for end users and internal teams.
- Support multiple HR functional areas, including but not limited to Benefits, Human Resources, and other HR business processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR system functionality, efficiency, and user experience.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as an HRIS Analyst, HR Technology Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role supporting HR systems.
- Experience supporting HR applications, HR business processes, and cross-functional technology initiatives.
- Strong skills in business requirements gathering, process analysis, documentation, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Proven ability to work directly with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver effective solutions.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to manage multiple priorities independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting PeopleSoft HRIS environments is highly desirable.
- Exposure to Benefits administration and other HR functional areas.
- Experience supporting HR system implementations, upgrades, or large enhancement projects.
- Familiarity with HR reporting, data analysis, and system integrations.
- Experience creating process documentation, SOPs, and training materials.
