Job description

  • Impact from day one: own first-piece, in-process, and final verification so good parts move forward fast.
  • Variety: split your time between incoming material checks, outgoing shipment validation, and shop-floor support.
  • Tools that tell the truth: program and operate manual/CNC CMMs (PC-DMIS / Modus preferred) and leverage Hofler gear inspection plus classic gauges.
  • Voice in improvement: identify nonconformances, assist corrective actions, and guide operators on best measurement practices., * Translate blueprints, customer requirements, and control plans into actionable inspections.
  • Execute and sustain the calibration system to keep every gauge trustworthy.
  • Support PPAP/ISIR packages, capability studies, and first-article builds.
  • Maintain organized quality records and customer documentation.
  • Participate in internal audits and collaborate in supplier quality initiatives.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Statistical Process Control?, Do you enjoy proving parts are right-not just hoping they are? Are CMM programs, GD&T, and calibration second nature? If you’re eager to work alongside production, engineering, and suppliers to ensure every component meets customer, company (RGC), and industry specifications, this role is for you., * 2-4 years in manufacturing or quality assurance, ideally in precision machining.

  • Ability to interpret prints using GD&T and apply precise measurement techniques.
  • Required: hands-on calibration experience.
  • Comfort with SPC and basic math/geometry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Nice to have: experience with bevel gear manufacturing.

Tech you’ll use

  • Coordinate Measuring Machines (Mitutoyo, Hexagon)
  • PC-DMIS (and Modus exposure a plus)
  • Micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, dial indicators, tooth verniers
  • Measurement gauges and a Hofler gear inspection machine, * GD&T fluency and blueprint reading
  • Quality inspection and quality control experience
  • SPC know-how
  • Advanced inspection & gauge measurement
  • PPAP process experience
