Job description

As a Quality Assurance Metrology Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the precision and reliability of high-frequency electronic components. You will utilize your expertise in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to validate complex parts, directly impacting the quality and performance of our final test equipment assemblies. Responsibilities

  • Perform precise mechanical measurements on a variety of components, including milled, turned, and laser-machined parts.
  • Apply advanced technical skills to analyze and verify parts against complex 2D drawings and 3D models.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying, developing, and implementing solutions for quality-related challenges.
  • Maintain rigorous documentation standards to ensure compliance with internal quality directives and professional benchmarks.
  • Collaborate across teams to resolve technical issues and ensure that all components meet strict engineering specifications.
  • Utilize metrology hand tools and advanced inspection equipment to guarantee the integrity of manufactured products.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Certified Quality Inspector certification?, Do you have experience in Windows?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, * 2-5 years of experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment.

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) with the ability to interpret complex technical documentation.
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical metrology tools such as calipers, micrometers, and various gages.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve technical problems and maintain high workmanship standards.
  • Strong computer literacy, specifically with MS Windows and Office suites., * Hands-on experience with CMM, Optical Interferometry, and Optical Surface Profilers.
  • Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO9001, AS9100, ANSI Z540.3, or ISO 17025.
  • Experience with 3D modeling software like NX or Solidworks.
  • Background in SPC software and data analysis methodologies.
  • Recognized certifications such as ASQ-CMI or CQI.
