Job description

As Scrum Master, you will support four Agile delivery teams while working in a hybrid environment combining Scrum, SAFe, and PRINCE2 methodologies. You will collaborate closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, Business Project Managers, and technical teams to ensure successful delivery and continuous improvement.

This role offers a unique opportunity to evolve into a Release Train Engineer (RTE) position as part of the long-term program roadmap.

Your Responsibilities

As Scrum Master, you will:

  • Coach and support four Agile Scrum teams in the effective application of Scrum principles and Agile best practices.
  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement sessions.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, transparency, and team ownership.
  • Remove impediments and proactively address risks affecting team delivery.
  • Coach Product Owners and stakeholders on Agile ways of working and value-driven product development.
  • Ensure Agile practices are applied pragmatically while preserving Agile values and principles.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers operating under the PRINCE2 methodology to ensure effective coordination between governance and Agile delivery.
  • Support quarterly Program Increment (PI) planning activities within the SAFe framework.
  • Facilitate collaboration across multiple teams and business domains.
  • Monitor Agile maturity and define improvement actions to increase team performance.
  • Track delivery progress and communicate risks, dependencies, and achievements to stakeholders.
  • Promote effective communication between business, IT, and external stakeholders.
  • Support organizational change initiatives and Agile transformation efforts.
  • Prepare for the transition toward the Release Train Engineer (RTE) role by contributing to program-level coordination and Agile governance.

Requirements

Must-Have

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master in complex Agile environments.
  • Strong expertise in Scrum principles, Agile coaching, and servant leadership.
  • Experience coaching multiple Agile teams simultaneously.
  • Proven experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience working in large-scale, multi-stakeholder organizations.
  • Ability to work effectively within governance models combining Agile and traditional project management methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting organizational change and Agile adoption.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
  • Experience participating in Program Increment (PI) Planning.
  • Knowledge of PRINCE2 project governance.
  • Experience in the healthcare, public sector, or regulated environments.
  • Experience working on digital transformation programs.
  • Experience at program level or in Agile Release Trains (ART).

Certifications

Mandatory

  • Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or equivalent Agile certification.

Nice-to-Have

  • SAFe Scrum Master (SSM).
  • SAFe Agilist (SA).
  • SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification, or willingness to obtain it before the end of Q1 2027.
