Job description

Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Technical Program Manager to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives within Production Control supporting Gigafactory Texas (GFTX). This role is responsible for driving strategic programs that improve material flow, warehouse operations, transportation, inventory management, and overall manufacturing efficiency across the factory.

The ideal candidate is an operator who thrives in fast-paced environments, is comfortable working across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, finance, and operations, and can independently drive initiatives from concept through execution. Success in this role requires exceptional analytical skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to influence without direct authority. What You’ll Do

  • Lead cross-functional programs that improve end-to-end material flow, production control, and supply chain performance across GFTX
  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives to reduce operating costs, improve inventory efficiency, increase throughput, and enhance factory scalability
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Finance, Industrial Engineering, and Operations to remove bottlenecks and strengthen execution
  • Build business cases with financial analysis, operational modeling, and data-driven recommendations to prioritize investments and improvements
  • Own complex projects from concept through implementation, managing scope, schedule, risks, stakeholder alignment, and delivery
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, quantify opportunities, and drive continuous improvement across warehousing, transportation, inventory, supplier operations, and production planning
  • Establish KPIs, reporting, and governance for operational visibility; lead executive reviews; and support factory expansion and major cross-functional initiatives at GFTX

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Operations Program Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale, cross-functional operational programs in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools; experience building financial models, business cases, and executive-level presentations
  • Exceptional project management, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment without direct authority; comfortable deciding with incomplete information and a high bias for action
  • Experience in automotive, manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, or industrial operations preferred
