Job description

About the Role: We are expanding our core development team and are looking for highly technical Working Students passionate about embodied AI and advanced automation. You will work directly on the deployment of Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models, LLMs, and computer vision pipelines, integrating these cutting-edge AI systems with industrial hardware and humanoid robotic platforms., * AI Integration: Assist in the development, optimization, and deployment of LLMs and VLA models for complex robotic manipulation and control tasks.

  • Hardware Interfacing: Develop reliable communication bridges between advanced AI algorithms (Python/C++) and industrial automation systems, specifically Siemens PLCs.
  • Vision Pipelines: Optimize computer vision models (e.g., object detection, 3D spatial awareness) for real-time inference on robotic systems.
  • Prototyping & Testing: Support the engineering team in testing AI-driven behaviors on physical hardware, including humanoid platforms (e.g., Unitree series) and industrial manipulators.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, or a similar highly technical field.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and C++, with hands-on experience using AI frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
  • Experience with PLC programming and industrial automation, with a strong preference for Siemens TIA Portal.
  • Familiarity with robot operating systems (ROS/ROS2) and integrating sensory data (e.g., stereo vision, RGB-D cameras) into control loops.
  • High problem-solving ability, an experimental mindset, and a strong drive to push the boundaries of what is possible in industrial and medical robotics.
