Job description

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer II with ServiceNow development experience to design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications and platform capabilities. This role will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions, improve operational efficiency, and support ongoing application development initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have experience developing within the ServiceNow platform, building integrations, troubleshooting complex issues, and contributing throughout the software development lifecycle. Responsibilities

  • Develop, modify, and maintain medium to complex application code and platform functionality.
  • Design, build, and implement enhancements, modules, workflows, and change requests.
  • Participate in code reviews and present technical designs, specifications, and programming logic.
  • Perform application builds, deployments, integrations, and code merges.
  • Develop and execute unit tests and assist with system and integration testing efforts.
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve application defects and performance issues.
  • Review business and technical requirements to determine design feasibility and implementation approach.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Assist with project planning, estimation, and coordination of development activities.
  • Monitor application health, logs, and platform performance and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation related to applications, integrations, and system updates.
  • Recommend process improvements, technical enhancements, and best practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members and assist with knowledge sharing.
  • Participate in on-call support rotations as required.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • 2+ years of ServiceNow development experience.
  • Strong JavaScript development skills.
  • Experience developing and maintaining REST and SOAP API integrations.
  • Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Shell Scripting, or similar technologies.
  • Understanding of software development best practices and secure coding principles.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in production environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
  • Experience with application usability and user experience best practices.
  • ServiceNow certifications are a plus.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale platforms and integrations.
