INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATE

The incumbent will perform a variety of recurring, well-defined tasks for in-house applications for information technology system problems, and work with technical specialists. The incumbent must have a proficient knowledge of data processing concepts, practices, methods, and principles within the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and/or Agile, and work as a team member with other programmers and represent the office at internal and external meetings supporting the California Department of Fish and Wildlife’s (CDFW) Application Architecture. This position is under the Software Engineering domain of IT Classification Consolidation.

Ability to work at a desk using a computer keyboard several hours a day. Involves sitting most of the time but may require walking or standing. This position will be in downtown Sacramento but the incumbent will be expected to visit the Administration Division offices, located in another building within walking distance. Attending meetings, working with staff statewide to complete work assignments. Occasional travel via private or public transportation may be required, up to 5% of total time worked., Individuals who are currently in the classification, eligible for lateral transfer, eligible for reinstatement, have list or LEAP eligibility, are in the process of obtaining list eligibility, or have SROA and/or Surplus eligibility (please attach your letter, if available).
