Information Systems Intrusion Detection and Prevention Computer Network Operations

Monitor mission-essential communication sites, networks, and information systems for security and operational events.
Review, classify, prioritize, and escalate alerts to ensure timely resolution.
Follow established procedures for event collection, triage, analysis, classification, and escalation.
Receive and document events reported through email, chat, phone, monitoring tools, and other communication systems.
Maintain accurate and detailed incident records, including actions taken and escalation details.
Collect and analyze technical information to determine whether an alert is a valid incident or a false positive.
Maintain established standards for triage accuracy and response times.
Assist with network and cybersecurity incident response and resolution activities.
Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to communicate incident details and recommended response actions.
Support the development and improvement of operational playbooks, dashboards, performance metrics, and detection strategies.
Perform additional duties or work alternate shifts based on operational requirements.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong documentation and attention-to-detail capabilities.
Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-priority operational environment.
