Front End Developer (Network Background)

1. Modern Front End Development React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and component-based architecture.

2. (MUST HAVE) Networking Knowledge: Candidates must understand networking concepts including routing, switching, network topology design, and simulation environments. API Integration & State Management Expertise consuming APIs, handling real-time updates, and managing complex application state., We are seeking a talented Front End Software Engineer to join the team. In this role, you will build and enhance the web-based user experience that allows network engineers to design, visualize, and manage complex virtual network topologies. You will work closely with backend engineers, network architects, and UX designers to transform sophisticated networking concepts into intuitive, high-performance user interfaces. This is an opportunity to work on a platform that enables customers to simulate real-world enterprise and data center networks, helping them validate designs and automate operations before deployment. Interactive Network Visualization Develop and maintain the interactive topology canvas used to create, modify, and visualize virtual network environments. Implement drag-and-drop functionality, node management, link creation, and real-time topology updates. Create intuitive visualizations that simplify complex networking concepts. Front End Application Development Build scalable, responsive web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks. Design reusable components and UI libraries that support networking-specific workflows. Collaborate with UX designers to deliver a modern and accessible user experience. API and Data Integration Integrate with backend services through REST APIs and real-time communication channels. Develop interfaces that display simulation telemetry, node status, configuration data, and system health. Ensure reliable synchronization between UI state and backend simulation engines. Performance Optimization Optimize rendering and browser performance for large-scale network topologies containing hundreds of nodes. Monitor and improve application responsiveness, memory usage, and user interaction performance. Troubleshoot front-end bottlenecks and implement scalable design patterns. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with backend engineers, QA teams, and product stakeholders to deliver new product capabilities. Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews. Contribute to agile development and continuous improvement initiatives. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of professional front-end software development experience. Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3. Experience developing applications using React, Vue.js, or Angular. Experience with TypeScript in enterprise-scale applications. Experience integrating RESTful APIs and consuming real-time data streams. Knowledge of modern state management frameworks such as Redux, Pinia, or NgRx. Experience building responsive and accessible user interfaces. Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization skills. Experience Level Expert Level

This is a Contract position based out of Raleigh, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
